Hi, I’m Jessica Luo. I’m an incoming senior at the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science (TAMS). I like reading, and in my free time I play tennis, draw, and spend time with younger kids.

I’ve been with BBTH since middle school, starting in 7th grade. Over the years, I’ve helped with fundraising, book drives, reading activities, reading competitions, and some STEM activities for kids. Through BBTH, I’ve had many chances to spend time with kids and be part of their learning, which I really enjoy. It’s been a meaningful experience for me and has helped me get better at communicating and supporting others.

I hope to continue creating more opportunities through different activities for students to explore STEM in a way that feels natural and approachable, and to encourage more girls to feel confident and enjoy learning it.
