Ethan Long
Hello! My name is Ethan Long, and I’m a student at Memorial High School with a strong passion for biology, medicine, and public health. I’m fascinated by how science can improve lives—not just in hospitals or labs, but in everyday communities.
As a volunteer with BestBridgeToHeart, I’ve had the opportunity to connect directly with families and help support initiatives that prioritize access to care and health education. I’m passionate about not only listening to the needs of others but also helping to bridge the gap between science and the people it serves.
Outside of this, I’ve volunteered as a hospice aide and worked with local community centers, experiences that have deepened my compassion and strengthened my desire to pursue a career in medicine. I'm especially interested in public health and how we can better spread accessible, actionable information to help people take care of themselves.
When I’m not volunteering or studying, I’m usually at marching band rehearsal, playing basketball, or lifting at the gym. These experiences have taught me discipline, teamwork, and a deeper appreciation for how the human body performs and recovers.
Through all of this, my goal is clear: to combine my love for science, my commitment to service, and my drive to create a future where I can help others live longer, healthier lives—starting with the communities around me.
